           Gulf Approach Via Pass-A-Grille Channel                              into Boca Ciega Bay 

 

Navigating from the North via the Intracoastal Waterway heading south past Treasure Island turn to port (East) between Red #32 and Green #31 (watch for G17 at this intersection).   After making the port turn you will be entering Boca Ceiga Bay.

 

Maintain heading after the turn and look ahead for G1, which marks the outer entrance to the private marina channel.  Prior to G1 you will see and pass R16, keep this to port to avoid shallow water as the sea way is reversed with Green on your right once you enter this channel. 

 

When you see the G1 private channel marker, leave it to port (back to red right returning) and line up with the shore line and the condo buildings. G3 will be at the entrance to the condo buildings channel, and this will mark your hard left turn to port that will put you in the marina entrance channel that parallels the sea wall and homes.  Make your turn to port at G3 and follow this channel paying attention to blue PYCC directional signage to G11, which marks your turn to starboard into the neighborhood and Club channel, bear right and follow into the yacht basin where the channel ends.    

 

Navigating from the South via the Intracoastal Waterway entering through Pass-A-Grille channel or from the Tierra Verde Structure E, continue North and pass under Structure C, a fixed bridge 65' clearance.

 

Clear the bridge and follow the Intracoastal to R32 (watch for G17 from the intersecting channel).  Turn right, Starboard, and enter the channel into Boca Ciega Bay.  

 

Look ahead for G1, which marks the outer entrance to the channel for the marina.   Prior to G1 you will see and pass R16, keep this to port to avoid shallow water as the sea way is reversed with Green on your right. Pass G1 to port and line up with the shore line and the condo buildings.  G3 at the entrance to the condo channel entrance will mark your hard left turn that will put you in the channel along the sea wall and homes.  Turn to port at G3 and follow this channel paying attention to blue PYCC directional signage to G11, which markes your turn to starboard into the neighborhood channel that leads to the marina, bear right after the turn and follow into the marina yacht basin where the channel ends.

By Car, just south of downtown St. Petersburg on I-275 South,  exit onto 22nd Ave SOUTH and drive West toward the beaches.  Travel approximately 1.5 miles, past 49th street and continue East passing 58th street.  Just ahead on your left, on the South side of 22nd Ave will be the gated entrance into the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club.  Enter the community and advise the gate guard you are visiting the marina, which will be dead ahead just past the Clubhouse.
